Q:A lot of students want to know whether it is important for a game designer to be a programmer too? Can a pure artist/story teller become a good game designer?
A: It is not necessary for a game designer to be a programmer -- after all, the most successful game designer in the world, Shigeru Miyamoto, began as an artist and is still an artist.
